Graphic Design in Hull from Hero Design
We were approached by an author, Graham M. Fox, who was writing his memories of been an evacuee during World War Two, to design and produce the book. We tried to evoke the time with the design of the book, using typography from the period and actual imagery as supplied to us. We married this imagery with soft ‘water colour’ style illustrations that were also intended to add a ‘childlike’ quality to the book, as the memories in the book were of childhood. After publication the book was accepted to the official World War Two Archive of the Imperial War Museum.
